Compassionate and Empowering

"Tricia provided one on one support for our four year old son with Down syndrome during his days at daycare in a preschool room. With Maclan in Tricia’s care, we were able to confidently know that Maclan was able to fully participate in all daycare activities and that all of his needs were being met. Tricia assisted Maclan indoors and outdoors, while eating, and with toileting/diapering. This even included a few field trips to local parks or to surrounding communities, such as the pool in Kirkland Lake. More importantly, Tricia ensured that Maclan enjoyed his days at daycare by being extremely patient, loving, and nurturing.

She had a great ability and confidence to communicate and work effectively with other professionals involved with Maclan, including but not limited to, the other daycare staff, developmental consultants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists. She was diligent in carrying out their exercises and activities for Maclan’s daily practice and was thorough in her notes and observations.

Tricia would take photos and videos of Maclan during their time together, and she filled out a daily log that gave us a snapshot of Maclan’s day, such as what he ate, how long he napped for, etc. She had excellent written and verbal communication skills.

It didn’t take long for other family members of Maclan’s, in particular, Maclan’s brothers, to also take a liking to Tricia during their interactions at drop off and pick up. She truly became a part of our family. As a mom, nothing feels better than knowing your kids have someone else that they could trust and feel safe with.

When Maclan transitioned to school this September, I was sad that his time with Tricia was going to be coming to an end. The amount of growth we seen from our boy during the several months they were together was astonishing, and we will forever be grateful for her time and effort that she poured into Maclan. We still keep in contact with Tricia and miss her dearly, so we were thrilled when we heard about her next adventure. We look forward to Maclan seeing Tricia again.

You will not be disappointed by choosing to have Tricia enter the lives of your loved ones. They will be in great care under Tricia’s loving arms!"

Respectful and Inclusive

" With Tricia's help my son was able to attend activities in the community, and do well! Tricia was able to support him where he needed and give him space as needed. My son has autism. Tricia has also given me peace of mind, leaving my son with her for respite. I know he is in good hands. She respects us as parents and our child. She cares!"
